The 2009 international Haydn Festival seeks to Celebrate the Bicentenary Anniversary of Franz Josef Haydn through concerts featuring his masterworks for chorus, orchestra and soloists. Participating choruses will perform in only one of the festival concerts. Each festival concert will feature the opportunity for individual choirs to combine with other fine choirs to rehearse and perform one of Haydn’s Six Great Masses or other masterwork, complete with orchestra and professional soloists. Individual vocalists, musicians, and non-performing applicants are invited to join the festival roster of singers, musicians, and friends of music, respectively. |
