Celebrate the 100-Year Anniversary of St. Clare Montefalco Parish in Poland

Embark on an enlightening 11-day Catholic pilgrimage beginning in the heart of Prague. From there, journey to Poland and visit Czestochowa's revered Jasna Góra Monastery, home to the miraculous Black Madonna. During this pilgrimage, you will also pay homage at Auschwitz-Birkenau, a poignant reminder of humanity's capacity for both suffering and resilience. Descend into the mystical depths of the Wieliczka Salt Mines, where stunning chapels carved from salt rock await and journey to Zakopane, nestled in the Tatra Mountains. Trace the footsteps of Saint John Paul II in Wadowice and also visit the Divine Mercy Shrine and the John Paul II Center. ITINERARY


Day 1: Sunday, September 22 - Departure

Depart for Prague via overnight flight on scheduled airline.


Day 2: Monday, September 23 - Prague

Upon arrival in Prague, meet your tour manager and  board your motor coach into the city. Take a panoramic  bus tour to see the highlights of the city and celebrate  Mass. Enjoy a group welcome dinner before your first  overnight in Prague.


Day 3: Tuesday, September 24 - Prague

Take a morning trip across the Charles Bridge to visit the Old Town, which is considered to be one of the best  historical city centers in Europe. See the Church of Our  Lady before Tyn, where you will celebrate Mass followed  by an evening to explore the city on your own. Overnight  in Prague.


Day 4: Wednesday, September 25 - Prague | Wrocław

Bid Prague farewell and depart on your motor coach  toward the beautiful Polish city of Wrocław. Enjoy a  guided tour as you take in the sights of the Old Town,  main Market Square, and the Gothic Town Hall. Celebrate  Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Also, make  a stop to see the Raclawice Panorama. Enjoy a group  dinner and evening at leisure. Overnight in Wrocław.


Day 5: Thursday, September 26 -  Wroclow | Czestochwa | Krakow

Depart for Czestochowa with a visit to the Jasna Gora  Monastery, founded in the 14th century, housing the  famous Black Madonna painting. The monastery has  been a pilgrimage destination for hundreds of years, and  it contains the most important icon of Mary in this part of Europe. Celebrate Mass at the shrine with an overnight in Krakow.


Day 6: Friday, September 27 - Krakow | Auschwitz | Wadowice | Kalwaria

Journey to Auschwitz, the infamous Nazi concentration  camp where Edith Stein met martyrdom and St.  Maximilian Kolbe sacrificed himself for a fellow prisoner.  Stop in Wadowice, the birthplace of John Paul II and his  childhood home, which is now a museum. Spend time  at Kalwaria Zebrydowska, where a young Wojtyla sought  solace and reflection. Celebrate Mass in Kalwaria. Group dinner at the retreat center. Overnight in Krakow.


Day 7: Saturday, September 28 - Wieliczka Mines | Miejsce Piastowe | Krosno

Embark on a trip to Wieliczka, the oldest salt mine  in Europe and another UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Continue on to Miejsce Piastowe for dinner at the shrine  of St. Michael and Mass. Check into the Krosno hotel.


Day 8: Sunday, September 29 - Debno | Czorsztyn/Niedzica | Stary Sacz |  Zakopane

Journey to Zakopane. On the way, visit Stary Sacz,  where centuries of religious history come alive. Explore  the Dunajec River and continue with visits to Niedzica,  Debno, and Gronkow. Celebrate Mass, concluding the day with an overnight stay in the picturesque town of Zakopane. Enjoy a group dinner with live music and dance.


Day 9: Monday, September 30 - Gubalowka | Kropowki | Krakow

Celebrate Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church, which  was built by the mountaineers in gratitude for the  Blessed Mother saving the life of Pope John Paul II from  the assassination attempt. Take the gondolas to Mt  Gubalowka for a bird’s eye view over the city and hillsides of Zakopane. This afternoon there will be time for strolling  and shopping on Krupowki Street. Travel to Krakow for an overnight.


Day 10: Tuesday, October 1 - Krakow | Divine Mercy

The day begins with a guided tour of Krakow, including the Royal Palace, Wawel Hill and the Cathedral that  houses the tombs of St. Stanislaus and St. Hedwig.  Depart for the tomb of St. Faustina Kowalska, visiting the  convent and the Basilica of the Divine Mercy. Take time to  see the John Paul II Centre. Celebrate Mass, followed by  a farewell group dinner and overnight in Krakow.


Day 11: Wednesday, October 2 - Return

Transfer to the Krakow airport for return flights home.

Final Payment: Balance due on or before 90 days prior to departure (6/24/2024)
