ITINERARY


Day 1: Friday, October 2 - Depart USA

Depart on overnight flights to Rome, Italy.


Day 2: Saturday, October 3 - Arrival | Portiuncula | St. Mary of the Angels

Welcome to the Eternal City! Upon arrival, meet your Italian tour manager and board a private motorcoach to Assisi. Visit the famous Portiuncula, where God commanded St. Francis to repair His Church, followed by time for personal prayer in the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. Check in to the hotel and gather for a delightful welcome dinner. Overnight in Assisi.


Day 3: Sunday, October 4 - Feast of St. Francis | St. Francis Basilica

Today is the Feast of St. Francis! Start with Mass at the Basilica of St. Clare, then continue with a walking tour of the city. See the Basilica of St. Francis, the San Damiano Cross, and Santa Maria Maggiore, where Blessed Carlo Acutis currently rests. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure before a festive reception and dinner. Overnight in Assisi.


Day 4: Monday, October 5 - Hermitage

Begin with Mass at the Portiuncula, then visit the Franciscan Hermitage, where St. Francis often retreated with his followers to pray. Take the rest of the day to explore the hidden sites of Assisi. Overnight in Assisi.


Day 5: Tuesday, October 6 | Orvieto | Rome

Depart this morning for the Eternal City of Rome. Stop in Orvieto along the way for Mass at the Duomo, followed by a tour and prayer in the Chapel of the Eucharistic Miracle. Continue to Rome for hotel check-in, then explore local dining venues at your leisure. Overnight in Rome.


Day 6: Wednesday, October 7 - Papal Audience | St. Paul Outside the Walls | Ancient Rome

Attend the weekly Papal Audience in St. Peter’s Square and celebrate Mass at St. Paul Outside the Walls. Then, tour Ancient Rome and gather for an intimate pizza making dinner class. Overnight in Rome.


Day 7: Thursday, October 8 - Vatican Museums | Walking Tour

This morning, celebrate Mass then take a walking tour of the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza Navona. After an afternoon at your leisure, embark on a private, after-hours tour of Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.* Overnight in Rome.


Day 8: Friday, October 9 - Scavi Tour | St. Peter’s Basilica | St. Mary Major

Depart early for St. Peter’s Basilica and the special Scavi Tour, where you will see the remains of St. Peter.* Then, celebrate Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica and tour the church. After some time at leisure, take a tour of the beautiful Basilica of St. Mary Major. Overnight in Rome.


Day 9: Saturday, October 10 - St. John Lateran | Scala Sancta | Santa Croce Gerusalemme | PNAC

Start your final day in Rome with Mass at St. John Lateran, followed by a visit to the Holy Steps. Visit Santa Croce in Gerusalemme and see many of relics of Christ’s passion. End the day with a visit to the Pontifical North American College. Gather for a group farewell dinner and overnight in Rome.


Day 10: Sunday, October 11 - Departure

Depart Rome on your return flights to the USA.

Day 10: Sunday, October 11 - Monte Cassino | Pozzuoli | Naples

Depart from Rome and enjoy a beautiful drive to Monte Cassino enroute to Naples. Upon arrival, visit Monte Cassino Abbey, the resting place of St. Benedict, and celebrate Mass. Continue on to Naples, stopping at Pozzuoli, the port of Naples and where St. Paul first landed. Afterwards, visit the Cathedral of St. Januarius

and the Dominican Convent where St. Thomas Aquinas lived. Check in at your hotel and enjoy a group dinner. Overnight in Castellammare di Stabia.


Day 11: Monday, October 12 - Amalfi Coast | Pompeii

Embark on a drive along the beautiful Amalfi Coast, celebrating Mass at the Cathedral of Amalfi. Spend time

at your leisure in this quaint town before visiting Pompeii and touring the ruins. Return to Naples for a group dinner and overnight in Castellammare di Stabia.


Day 12: Tuesday, October 13 - Capri

Today, visit the island of Capria via ferry from Sorrento. Celebrate Mass at the Chiesa di San Costanzo, then

depart for the Villa of San Michele and see the remarkable collection of antique treasures and exotic flowers. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure and dinner on your own in Capri. Return to Sorrento and overnight in Castellammare di Stabia.


Day 13: Wednesday, October 14 - Return to USA

Check out of your hotel and transfer to Naples airport for your return flights to the USA.

CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
