ITINERARY
Day 1: Monday, June 9 - Depart for Italy
Depart on overnight flight(s) to Rome, Italy.
Day 2: Tuesday, June 10 - Arrival in Rome | Assisi
Benvenuti a Roma! Meet your professional Italian Tour Manager, then board your private motor coach and transfer to Assisi, the City of Peace. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and see the famous Porziuncola where the Franciscan order began. Gather for a group welcome dinner tonight and overnight in Assisi.
Day 3: Wednesday, June 11 - Assisi
Celebrate a morning Mass at the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. Enjoy guided visits of St. Francis and the Church of St. Clare to see the cross that spoke to St. Francis and led him to a life of piety. Visit the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis to learn about the sanctified life of this newly beatified millennial. Enjoy dinner on your own and overnight in Assisi.
Day 4: Thursday, June 12 - Assisi | Montepulciano
This morning, celebrate Mass at the Church of San Domiano, where St. Clare built her community. Then, depart for the Medieval hilltop town of Montepulciano. Visit some of the most interesting wine cellars and try the world-famous red wine, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Enjoy a wine-tasting lunch before returning to Assisi for an evening at leisure. Overnight in Assisi.
Day 5: Friday, June 13 - Orvieto | Rome
Depart for Rome, stopping in the beautiful city of Orvieto along the way. Celebrate Mass at the Duomo, followed by a guided tour to learn about the Eucharistic Miracle of Corpus Christi. See Signorelli’s famous frescoes before continuing to your hotel, where you will enjoy a group dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 6: Saturday, June 14 - Major Basilicas of Rome
Begin the day by visiting the major Basilicas of Rome. Travel to the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, then continue to the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Cathedral of Rome. Before lunch on your own, see the Basilica of the Holy Cross, which houses the relics of the Passion. Finally, celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary Major, the first Basilica. Enjoy dinner on your own and overnight in Rome.
Day 7: Sunday, June 15 - Day Trip to Castel Gondolfo
Depart on a day trip to explore the splendid papal summer residence of Castel Gandolfo. Upon arrival, celebrate Mass at the Church of San Tommaso da Villanova. Then, tour through the residence, Papal Gardens, and private Vatican Farm at Castel Gandolfo. Experience a beautiful lunch, then return to Rome for an evening on your own.
Day 8: Monday, June 16 - St. Peter’s Basilica | Scavi | Free Evening
Set out early for St. Peter’s Basilica to celebrate Mass. Process through the Holy Doors at St. Peter’s Basilica, followed by a tour. The group will then take part in a Scavi tour - the ancient Roman excavations below the Basilica of St. Peter’s culminating at the tomb of St. Peter (pending availability). The remainder of the day is yours to explore the city center. Overnight in Rome.
Day 9: Tuesday, June 17 - Historic Center Walking Tour | Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel
Begin your day with a walking tour and celebrate Mass at Chiesa Nuova, venerating the tomb of St. Philip Neri. Walk to Piazza Navona and the Church of St. Augustine to venerate the tomb of St. Monica. Nearby, visit the Church of St. Louis and the Pantheon. Pray at the tomb of St. Catherine of Siena at the Basilica of St. Mary of Minerva. See the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola where you can visit the tombs of Jesuit saints. Experience a tour of the magnificent Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Enjoy dinner on your own and overnight in Rome.
Day 10: Wednesday, June 18 - Papal Audience | Trastevere
Join the Wednesday morning Papal Audience in St. Peter’s Square (pending the Holy Father’s schedule). Then, depart for the neighborhood of Trastevere for lunch on your own and Mass at Santa Maria. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the Eternal City. Enjoy dinner on your own and overnight in Rome.
Day 11: Thursday, June 19 - Catacombs | PNAC
After breakfast, depart for the catacombs of Saint Callixtus, containing the Crypt of the Popes. After lunch on your own, visit the Pontifical North American College located on the Janiculum Hill. Meet with some of the Diocese of Columbus priests and seminarians who are studying in Rome, with an opportunity to join them for evening prayer. This evening, there will be a special group farewell dinner celebrating your pilgrimage in Rome.
Day 12: Friday, June 20 - Return to USA
Check out of the hotel and transfer to the Rome airport for return flights home.

Second Deposit: $1,250 additional due 150 days prior to departure (1/10/2025)
Final Payment: Balance due on or before 90 days prior to departure (3/11/2025)
Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee.
All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
