JP2 Trails Pilgrimage to Italy with Jason Evert
Join Jason Evert and the JP2 Trails team for a pilgrimage to Italy for the canonization of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati! This once-in-a-lifetime experience will begin with Mass and a tour of Venice, including free time to explore or take a gondola ride. Next, spend time in the scenic Dolomites with breathtaking views of the Italian Alps. Continue to Turin, to walk in the footsteps of St. John Bosco and Blessed Pier Giorgio, including a hike on Mount Mucrone. Spend the remaining days in the Eternal City of Rome, visiting the major basilicas, piazzas, historical sites, and fountains. The pilgrimage will culminate with the canonization Mass of Pier Giorgio Frassati and a farewell dinner!

ITINERARY
Day 1: Sunday, July 27 - Depart USA
Depart USA via overnight independent flights to Venice, Italy.
Day 2: Monday, July 28 - Venice
Arrive in Venice, Italy. Meet your professional Italian tour manager, then transfer to your hotel. Celebrate Mass followed by some free time to explore or take a gondola ride. Visit the Basilica of St. Mark and enjoy a special welcome dinner. Overnight near Venice.
Day 3: Tuesday, July 29 - Dolomites
Depart for the Dolomites, surrounded by the stunning Dolomitic Alps. Celebrate Mass, then enjoy a scenic walk to the breathtaking Cadini di Misurina overlook. Check into your hotel, followed by a group dinner and overnight in the Dolomites.
Day 4: Wednesday, July 30 - Turin
Head to Turin, stopping at Alpe di Siusi for more beautiful Dolomite views. Celebrate Mass at the Church of Mary Help of Christians, where you’ll pray at the urn containing the remains of St. John Bosco. Gather for a group dinner and overnight in Turin.
Day 5: Thursday, July 31 - Turin
Today, follow the footsteps of Pier Giorgio Frassati. Visit his birthplace, then travel to his burial site at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist to celebrate Mass. Continue to the Church of San Domenico, where Pier Giorgio took his Third Order Dominican vows, then visit the Shroud Chapel. Explore La Crocetta, where Pier Giorgio was baptized and where his funeral was held, as well as the Museum of the Shroud of Turin. Explore local cuisine on your own and overnight in Turin.
Day 6: Friday, August 1 - Mount Mucrone | Milan | Rome
Depart for Mount Mucrone, where Frassati spent his summers. Weather permitting, climb Mount Mucrone and celebrate Mass near the cross where Pier Giorgio worshipped. Continue to Milan and board a train to Rome, where you’ll check into the hotel and enjoy a group dinner. Overnight in Rome.
Day 7: Saturday, August 2 - Jubilee Holy Doors
Celebrate Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica, then process through the Holy Doors. Visit St. Mary Major, St. John in Lateran, and St. Paul Outside the Walls. The evening is free to enjoy at your leisure.
Day 8: Sunday, August 3 - Canonization of Pier Giorgio Frassati
Attend the Canonization Mass of Pier Giorgio Frassati at St. Peter’s Square. Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring Rome’s landmarks, including the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, and Colosseum. Conclude with a celebratory farewell dinner.
Day 9: Monday, August 4 - Depart Italy
Transfer to the Rome airport for return flights to the USA.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION TERMS:
Deposit: $500 per person due upon registration
Second Deposit: $1,250 additional due on or before March 5, 2025
Final Payment: Balance due on or before May 5, 2025
Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee.
All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
