Itinerary


Day 1: Monday, February 10 - Depart for Italy

Depart on overnight flights to Venice, Italy.


Day 2: Tuesday, February 11 - Arrive in Venice | St. Josephine Bakhita Shrine

Upon arrival in Venice, you will be greeted at the airport by your Italian tour manager. Transfer by private motor coach to Schio and visit the Church  of the Holy Family to learn about the life of St. Josephine Bakhita. Celebrate Mass, followed by a Holy Hour. Continue to Vicenza for hotel check-in  and a group welcome dinner. Overnight in Vicenza.


Day 3: Wednesday, February 12 - Assisi

After a leisurely breakfast, depart for Assisi, the City of Peace, stopping enroute for lunch on your own. Upon arrival, celebrate Mass at St. Mary of  the Angels Basilica, and see the famous Porziuncola where the Franciscan order began. Spend time in prayer after walking through the holy doors,  receiving a plenary indulgence. Check in to your hotel and gather for a group dinner. Overnight in Assisi.


Day 4: Thursday, February 13 - St. Clare of Assisi | Blessed Carlo Acutis

Experience a visit to the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis and learn about the sanctified life of this beatified and incorruptible millennial. Continue with  a walking tour and end at the Church of St. Clare to see her incorruptible body and the Cross of San Damiano, which spoke to St. Francis, leading  him to a life of piety. After celebrating Mass, the remainder of the day is yours to explore and taste specialties of the region including olive oil,  truffles, Norcia sausage and cheeses. Spend time in evening prayer and sharing of graces before dinner on your own. Overnight in Assisi.


Day 5: Friday, February 14 -  St. Francis of Assisi

Embark on a morning guided visit of the Basilica of St. Francis and celebrate Mass. Then, depart for the Franciscan Hermitage to pray a Holy Hour.  Afterward, enjoy leisure time to explore the art, architecture, and serenity of this Umbrian town. Gather for evening prayer and sharing of graces  before dinner on your own. Overnight in Assisi.


Day 6: Saturday, February 15 - Orvieto | Rome

Check out of the hotel and depart for Rome, stopping in the beautiful hilltop city of Orvieto. Celebrate Mass at the Duomo, followed by a guided  tour to learn about the Eucharistic miracle, which led to the celebration of the Feast of Corpus Christi. Relax with an enjoyable wine-tasting lunch  to sample the region’s renowned selections. Continue to the Eternal City for hotel check-in and dinner on your own. Overnight in Rome.


Day 7: Sunday, February 16 - Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth | Bl. Anna Maria Taigi

Experience a full day with the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Founded in Rome in 1875 by Frances Siedilska, the congregation has grown  to 1,100 sisters serving families in 14 countries all over the world. Celebrate Mass at the Chapel, with time to pray and venerate the tomb of Mother  Mary of Jesus the Good Shepherd. Enjoy lunch with the community before visiting the Church of San Crisogono. There, Blessed Anna Maria Taigi,  a wife, mother and mystic, remains incorrupt. Enjoy free time on your own before an overnight in Rome.


Day 8: Monday, February 17 - St. Peter's Basilica | Scavi Tour | Farewell Dinner

Begin with a morning Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica. Take a guided tour of this magnificent church with a visit to the tomb of Pope Saint Pius X, who was  found to be incorrupt 30 years after his death. Pending availability, take an exclusive tour of excavations below the Basilica, ending at the resting place  of St. Peter. Enjoy a special farewell dinner together, concluding the pilgrimage. Overnight in Rome.


Day 9: Tuesday, February 18 - Depart for USA

Check out of the hotel and depart for the Rome airport for your flights to the USA.

TRAVEL PROTECTION: 

Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel protection is highly recommended. 


PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION TERMS: 

Deposit:  $500 per person due upon registration

Second Deposit: $1,250 additional due 150 days prior to departure (9/13/24) 

Final Payment: Balance due on or before 90 days prior to departure (11/12/24) 

Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee. 


All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
